ELECTRICITY bills of zero are the massive spin-off Thagoona’s Larrissa Williams has experienced after installing solar panels on her roof.

Instead of bills of $1000 a quarter, she now pays nothing.

Ms Williams is one of an increasing number of Ipswich residents moving to solar power.

She started off with a three-kilowatt system with 11 panels that cost $3000, which she has paid off in instalments.

Now she has added to that and has 21 panels.
