HERVEY Bay is the solar panel capital of regional Queensland with almost one in four Ergon Energy residential customers having solar panels installed on their roofs.

An Ergon Energy spokesman said at the end of December, 6442 customers – 23% of the 28,570 serviced from Ergon’s Hervey Bay depot – were eligible for the solar bonus scheme.
